Imphal, May 17 : The Manipur NGO forum has distributed relief materials and medicines on for the displaced villager of Mahur village and Haflong of NC hills, who are taking shelter at the Tousem sub-division following the violence carried out by Dimasa militants.
According to the NGO forum the displaced villager are taking shelter at three places in Tousem sub-division. About 36 people are taking shelter at Abem village, 153 at Mandui village and 152 at Tousem HQ. Most of the victims are women and children the forum said.
Apart from being distributed over hundreds the NGO forum also revealed that free medical camps were also held at Tousem HQ for all the victims during which necessary medical assistance assistance has been provided to the victims on 15 May.
