Traditional Lamkang attires highlighted to Agatha Sangma

Imphal, October 21 2009: Joint Secretary of Tribal NGOS Forum, Manipur and member of International Sports Coalition, South Africa and USA, Daniel Lamkang during an interactive session with Union MoS for Rural Development, Agatha Sangma has highlighted the traditional and indigenously designed, different varieties of Lamkang Naga Traditional Wears/attires/costumes.

Daniel Lamkang met the Union MoS at Churachandpur on October 19 as well as the Tulihal airport on October 20 .

Apart from talking on the sartorial sense of the Lamkang tribe as well as the dresses and costumes of all communities, including the Meiteis and Muslims, Daniel Lamkang also discussed a number of issues with the young Minister including education.

The Minister was urged to extend all possible co-operation in setting good institutions.

Daniel Lamkang is a social activist having donned different responsibilities including being the Advisor to the Naga Students' Union, Bangalore, Advisor, Manipur Students' Union, Bangalore, club member of Bowring Institute, Bangalore city, president of Lamkang Kurchiknao Kunpun (Lamkang Students' Union), Speaker Naga Students' Union, Chandel, representative DRDA, Chandel for the Rajya Sabha MP, nominated as secretary publicity, information and public relations, ANSAM till 2008 etc.

He also worked as Assistant Manager, Pizza Corner,, Bangalore, with head office at the USA.
