Imphal (Manipur), May 9 : Students and teachers have protested against firing on school premises by unidentified gunmen earlier this week.
The gunmen fired two rounds at the Catholic School gate before making good their escape.
Decrying the act, students said they felt insecure about remaining in the school and added that if such incidents happen again, they would have to stop their studies.
One of the students, Ronika, said the incident was condemnable.
Police are yet to establish a motive for the attack.
Father George G Baite, the principal of the Catholic School, said such incidents create an unhealthy atmosphere for students.
"Such things should not be repeated," he said.
This is not the first time that the school has been threatened.
