Imphal, Mar 31 : At least five persons were injured, one of them seriously when militants exploded a powerful bomb in Imphal West district of Manipur, police said on Tuesday.
Two militants on a two wheeler blasted the bomb at a shop at Mayang Imphal area, about 35 km south-east of here, late last night injuring the five who came to buy essential items. No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the crime, the police said.
Congress MLA Kh Ratan who represents Mayang Imphal seat has appealed to the armed persons not to indulge in violence in crowded areas.
