Imphal , June 4 With the increase of women militants in the state, the Manipur government has decided to raise a women India Reserve Battalion (IRB), official sources said here today.
The decision to set up a women IRB battalion was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh here yesterday, the sources said.
As many as 1,007 women constables will be recruited for the battalion, a senior minister who attended the meeting told PTI.
