Imphal, Jan 24 : Some girls from the state studying and working in Delhi and other cities of the country are found indulging in illicit affairs with non-Manipuris.
If parents of the girls do not called out them, the Khunnai Kanba Apunba Meira Paibi Lup (KHUNKAMPAL), Thoubal, will publish names and addresses of the girls in the media along with their illicit photos.
Addressing a press conference held at the Manipur Press Club, KHUNKAMPAL president W Maipaksana observed that the acts of the state girls is tantamount to defaming the image and respect of Manipur in the said places.
A nurse living in hostel room number 30 of Pentamed Hospital, Dehrawal Nagar 7, Local Shopping Centre, Gujjarwala Town, a girl living in the TV room of the same hostel and five girls living in room number 16, 17, 18, 21 and 29 of the same hostel were found making illicit relationship with Non-Manipuris and spending many nights in hotel, park and even in the hospital during their night duties, she revealed.
Not ended with this, there were many instants in which ward boys and sweeper found them in illicit state inside the hospital.
Moreover, a girl from Singjamei Chinga Makha and Singjamei Oinam Thingel are living in as husband and wife in a hotel at Maharani Bagh, New Delhi at present.
When the association investigated the cases of molestation and raping of Manipuri girls in the major cities of India especially in Delhi, it was found that those Manipuri girls who wear rags in the name of fashion by imitating western culture invited the dangers lurking in such cities.
Parents are not looking after their children after they send them in these cities.
The association is not disclosing the identities of the girls as a chance to come to the right path.
If parents concerned fail to call out their children and appear to the office of KHUNKAMPAL to discuss the matter, they will disclose their identities to the public through media, she warned.
